Stickney Hall is named after Fred G. Stickney, a professor of English who served as the head of the English department from 1925 until 1946.

Stickney Hall is a Sophomore Focused, Residential Scholars Community.  Stickney Hall is reserved for sophomores and above with at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average.  A preference is given to members of the Honors Program and students attending UWA on a Trustee Scholarship.  Preferred roommates of eligible students may also live at Stickney Hall, if space is available.  Second semester freshmen with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average may also live at Stickney Hall, if space is available.

New students wishing to be considered for Stickney Hall for the fall semester should apply for housing by January 15th.

Constructed:  1949 (Renovated in 1983)

Classification:  Coed/Residential Scholars Community

Type:  Rooms with private bathrooms and kitchenettes

Location:  Southern corner of campus, near the library & Bibb Graves Hall

Occupancy:  90 (Two students per room, plus a few singles and triples)

Number of Floors:  3
