The Selection Process for resident assistants for
the 2008-09 school year has concluded. The selection process for the
2009-10 school year will begin in February, 2009.
Being a Resident
Assistant (RA) is a rewarding but demanding job. If you think you
have what it takes to be an RA, please read the
job
description.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum
of a 2.0 grade point average RA applicants for Stickney, Reed and Hoover must have at least a
3.0 GPA
Full-time
enrollment
Benefits:
Resident Assistants at Spieth, Selden and
Sisk:
A
free single room in the residence hall*
Up
to
$500 per semester ($125 a month) in incentive payments for
completing programming requirements and other job responsibilities.
Most RAs receive at least $75 per month in incentive pay.
Resident
Assistants at Stickney, Reed and Hoover:
A
free single room in the residence hall*
Up
to
$200 per semester ($50 a month) in incentive payments for completing
programming requirements and other job responsibilities. Most
RAs receive at least $25 per month in incentive pay.
*RAs
are charged for their room but are awarded a
scholarship equal to the cost of the room.
Selection
Process:
Applications
will be accepted until February 15th.
RA
Selection Night will be held February
26th from 6:30 p.m.
- 9:30 p.m. at the Tiger's Den
at the SUB, so keep that night open on your calendar.
The RA Selection Committee will meet
on February 28th to select the resident assistants
for 2009-10.
Job
offers will be sent out by March 3rd.
Resident Assistants must be able to arrive on campus by
August 7, 2009 for staff
training.
